From the clip that I saw, Nia chose to willfully and intentionally walk around a table and slap Jennifer because Jennifer chose to ignore her. Don't get me wrong - Jennifer is not on my list of favorite people, but she's made it clear that she isn't a "fist fighter" so she is fighting her way - thru the courts. Deal with it Nia (and Evelyn).

o/a/n: I've learned that any TV show that has the word "wives" as part of the title is bound to be way too trashy and crazy for the average viewer. Whose idea was that?!! Yes, I know, I should not watch this crap, but they are train wrecks that you can't help but watch.

Yogi, You and I might be "contemporaries." Smile. I really liked the shows you mentioned, but then I am riding on 7 decades. Also, I came up during a time which emphasized personal responsibility for practically everything pertaining to one's decisions and behavior in life. Inexorably, but most certainly, there has been a groundswell of change regarding attitudes toward "individual responsibility versus individual outcomes." Just four generations ago, my people were pretty much at the bottom of the socio-economic barrel. But the great grands and the grands and the parents just kept on preachin' individual responsibility, and holding their younguns feet to that fire. If you watch any line of any family, regardless of ethnic background, from 70 years ago until this moment, who have carried out that mantra, you will discover a majority of successful kids in those families at this very moment in time, be they 60, 40, 20 or 5 years of age. Matters not their ethninticity. Now a days, I hear youngsters condemning Bill Cosby for counseling parents and children to have the very same attitudes that my own grandparents and parents had. I see words like "old fool" and how he is "condemning black people." Frankly, what this man has to say applies to ALL PARENTS and ALL YOUNG PEOPLE. A person may be "racial," in that he identifies with a certain ethnic group, but that doesn't brand him as a "racist" if he tries to point out behaviors and attitudes that do not and are not going to have positive results. Practically any child psychologist will tell you that teaching a child that he or she is a "victim" is counter productive to that child's healthy development.
